The Summer 2025 issue of Atlanta Style & Design features The Berndsen Company.

Much of what distinguishes a house at this level never appears in photographs. It is the substrate behind the plaster, the way trim returns are handled at an inside corner, whether a stair rail feels right under the hand. Those details are decided in shop drawings and mock-ups, not on site — and a builder's job is to resolve them with the architect and the trades before they become field decisions, which is where quality is usually won or lost.

The Berndsen Company builds custom residences in Atlanta and North Georgia, working in classical and traditional architecture and collaborating closely with the designers and craftspeople the work depends on.
